Troubleshoot network connection issue.
To troubleshoot a network connection To troubleshoot a network connection To troubleshoot a network connectionTo troubleshoot a network connection problem, try these steps first:
Open Network Diagnostics by right-clicking the network icon in the notification area, and then clicking Diagnose and repair.
Make sure that all cables are properly connected.
If you're trying to connect to another computer, make sure that computer is on and that you have enabled file and printer sharing on your network. For more information, see Networking home computers running different versions of Windows.
If the problem began after you installed new software, check your connection settings to see if they have been changed.

Possible solutions
Can’t connect to other computers or share files and printers on a home network
Make sure network discovery is turned on.
To turn on network discovery
Make sure you have shared the files or printers.
To share files and printers
If password protected sharing is enabled, you have two options.
More information
Make sure the computer that you want to connect to has at least one shared folder.
Make sure all computers are in the same workgroup. See Join or create a workgroup.
In addition to enabling file sharing, make sure you set sharing properties on the folder or printer you want to share.
More information
Go to the website of your router manufacturer to download and install the latest firmware for your router.
Can't connect to a home network (wireless connection)
Make sure the router and modem are turned on.
If you're using a laptop, make sure the wireless switch on the front, side, or back edge of the laptop is turned on.
If Windows doesn’t detect a network that you think is in range of your computer, open Help and Support and search for "Troubleshoot problems finding wireless networks."
Make sure the network adapter is working correctly.
To verify that a network adapter is working correctly
Download and install the latest version of the network adapter driver from the manufacturer's website.
Clear the DNS resolver cache. For more information, see DNS (Domain Name System): frequently asked questions.
Can't connect to a home network (wired connection)
Make sure the router and modem are turned on.
Make sure that the Ethernet cable is inserted into the network adapter in your computer.
Ethernet cable
Make sure the Ethernet cable is not defective. Test this by using a different cable that you know works properly.
Make sure the Ethernet cable is connected to the correct port on the router.

Can't remember network key
If you've forgotten your network key, and there is no one else who knows it, you'll need to set up your wireless router again. See Set up a wireless router.
Network connection is intermittent (periodically disconnects)
Turn off the power-saving option in the network adapter's properties.
To turn off the power-saving option
Network connection is too slow
Go to the manufacturer's website to check for more recent drivers for your network adapter.

MCSE INTERVIEW QUESTIONS AND ANSWER ,VERY USEFULL OUR NEXT JOB INTERVIEW MCSE Questions and Answers: : 1 :: What is the use of IGMP protocol? Internet Group Management Protocol: - It allows internet hosts to participate in multicasting. The IGMP messages are used to learn which hosts is part of which multicast groups. The mechanism also allow a host to inform its local router, that it wants to receive messages. 2 :: What are Ping and Tracert? Ping and tracert are the commands used to send information to some remote computers to receive some information. Information is sent and received by packets. Ping I particularly used to check if the system is in network or not. It also gives packet lost information. In windows ping command is written as ping ip_address Tracert is called as trace route. It is used to track or trace the path the packet takes from the computer where the command is given until the destination. In windows ping command is written as trac...

To Day I Explain OSI MODEL, Open Systems Interconnection model ( OSI ) is a conceptual model that characterizes and standardizes the internal functions of a communication system by partitioning it into abstraction layers. The model is a product of the Open Systems Interconnection project at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), maintained by the identification ISO/IEC 7498-1. The model groups communication functions into seven logical layers. A layer serves the layer above it and is served by the layer below it. For example, a layer that provides error-free communications across a network provides the path needed by applications above it, while it calls the next lower layer to send and receive packets that make up the contents of that path. Two instances at one layer are connected by a horizontal connection on that layer. The Below Shown Diagram is helpful to understand the OSI seven Layer Model. OSI MODEL EXPLANATION Th...
